ICGB to launch tender for Greece-Bulgaria gas link construction by end-2017 - SEE NEWS

SOFIA (Bulgaria), September 12 (SeeNews) - ICGB, the project company developing the Gas Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria (ICGB) said on Tuesday it plans to launch several tender procedures for the construction of the pipeline by the end of the year.

"The company is in the process of preparation of the respective procedures for assigning the main contracts which are necessary for the start of the construction - selection of owner's engineer for the project; line pipe supplies; assigning of the detailed engineering, procurement and construction (EPC contract); archaeological research and selection of the construction supervision company," Sofia-registered ICGB said in a statement.

On September 1, ICGB submitted an application for a construction permit for the Bulgarian part of the pipeline. The permit is expected to be issued by the regional development ministry in the first half of September 2017.

Petrofac to build $404 million worth gas receiving terminal in TurkStream project - ANADOLU AGENCY

Jersey-based oil field services company, Petrofac has secured a €340 million contract along with Gazprom subsidiary South Stream Transport BV to build a gas receiving terminal in Turkey, the company announced Tuesday.

The engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract includes the development of onshore pipelines and a gas receiving terminal near Kıyıköy on Turkey's northeastern Black Sea coast, a statement said.

The company has been undertaking early works since April, which includes detailed design and procurement for the offshore section of the TurkStream natural gas pipeline, it added.

The Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) AG announces that construction in Greece, the pipeline’s greatest geography, advances on time, on track and on budget. Thanks to the efforts of the over 3000 people working for the project, 13 months after the Inauguration Ceremony works have significantly progressed in two of the three northern Greek prefectures to be traversed by the pipeline: eastern Macedonia-Thrace and central Macedonia.

Greek Firm in $380m Libya Deal - LIBYA BUSINESS NEWS

Greek company METKA has announced that it has concluded an agreement with the General Authority for Electricity and Renewable Energy of Libya (GAEREL) to carry out the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for a new power plant in Tobruk, Libya. The agreement was made in Athens on 25 January 2017.

The project, with total output of more than 500MW, includes the supply and installation of 3 General Electric GT13E2 gas turbines in open cycle configuration, together with all associated balance of plant equipment and a 220/66kV substation. The contract value for METKA amounts to $380 million.

The contract is subject to final approval from the responsible state authorities in Libya, and will only become effective upon opening of an irrevocable letter of credit confirmed by 1st class international bank.

Cyprus to look at importing LNG - CYPRUS MAIL

The government has ordered a study to be carried out to look into ways of importing Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) for power generation but also broadly for industrial purposes.

A source in DEFA confirmed to the Cyprus Mail a report appearing in Politis on Thursday.

“DEFA has received a mandate from our shareholder [the Energy Ministry] to carry out a study concerning the options for supply of natural gas in the form of LNG for the market,” the source said.

OneSubsea wins contract for Zohr development, offshore Egypt - WORLD OIL

HOUSTON -- OneSubsea, a Schlumberger company, has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction contract totaling more than $170 million from Belayim Petroleum Company (Petrobel). OneSubsea will supply the subsea production systems for the first stage of Zohr field, located in the Shorouk Concession, offshore Egypt.

“Zohr is one of the largest gas fields discovered in the Mediterranean Sea to date, and is also the world’s second longest step-out, a distance greater than 150 km. This step-out will be enabled by OneSubsea controls systems with fiber-optic communications technology,” said Mike Garding, president, OneSubsea. “Our supplier-led approach to the field development, coupled with our FasTrac program capability, and our integrated offering that includes flow assurance, subsea production system and landing string capabilities, will help Petrobel meet their first gas commitment.”
