Egyptian Ethylene & Derivatives Co. (Ethydco) has selected a consortium of Saipem and Egypt-based Petrojet to build that country’s first polybutadiene plant, Saipem reported Friday.

According to a written statement Saipem emailed to Rigzone, the estimated US$150 million contract for the 36,000-metric ton per year (MT/Y) synthetic rubber plant calls on Saipem and Petrojet to provide:

Maridive & Oil Services wins $20m contract to provide services at Zohr - ENERGY EGYPT

Maridive & Oil Services signed a USD 20 million agreement with an unnamed Egyptian company to lease three maritime units to provide maritime and oil services at the Zohr gas field, Al Mal reports.

Maridive & Oil Services (MOIL) announced in a statement sent to EGX, maritime support sector has won a new contract with one of its clients in Egypt worth $20 million.

The deal encompasses leasing 3 maritime units to present maritime petroleum service in Zohr field in North Delta.

The Company said the contract would be signed by the end of the current year for 3 years, adding the total signed contracts of the company are amounting to $370 million from 2017 till 2019.

Add Energy awarded £1 million contract with BP in Egypt - ADD ENERGY

Add Energy, the international energy consultancy provider, has been awarded a maintenance build contract worth more than £1 million with BP for work on West Nile Delta (WND), a development located just off the north coast of Egypt.

The contract, worth almost £1.4 million, will see Add Energy carry out the development of a full asset maintenance build and will include the delivery of an asset register and functional hierarchy build, equipment criticality assignment, development of maintenance strategies for critical and non-critical equipment, job plans and procedures, critical sparing and Bill of Materials (BoMs) development.

The Add Energy project team will be operating from Aberdeen, and will require the project manager and principal consultant to travel to the BP WND project offices in London over the course of the 18-month project.

Wood Group begins detailed engineering of Leviathan for Noble Energy - WORLD OIL

HOUSTON, Texas -- Wood Group recently completed the seven-month front-end engineering design (FEED) for Noble Energy’s Leviathan Field Development Project in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea and has started the detailed engineering for the platform, including the topsides and jacket. The FEED and detail design has a total contract value of approximately $95 million.

The estimated 30,000-ton fixed platform is being initially designed to process 1.2 Bcfd of gas, expandable to 2.1 Bcfd to accommodate future production. The platform will be installed in an 86-m water depth.

The Leviathan project adds to Wood Group’s portfolio of projects executed for Noble Energy. Wood Group previously designed the Tamar platform topsides; the Tamar onshore compression plant which receives natural gas from the Mari-B and Tamar fields in the Mediterranean Sea; and the topsides and jacket for the Alen production platform, offshore Equatorial Guinea.

LUXEMBOURG – Subsea 7 has completed offshore operations on the fasttrack East Nile Delta project in the Egyptian sector of the Mediterranean Sea.

During 3Q, the Seven Borealis was engaged in pipelay for the first phase of the West Nile Delta project.

Last month, Subsea 7 secured an [EPCI] contract for the Atoll project in the same area, lifting the total value of its contract awards offshore Egypt over the past 18 months to almost $1.8 billion.
